File Transfer Protocol Tutorial

Step 01

Click here to download Filezilla.
 

Step 02

When Filezilla has downloaded run the installer and accept all the default options.
 

Step 03

Once the installation process has finished load up Filezilla and you will see a screen like this.

Click on the button at the top left () which will allow you add a new FTP Site into Filezilla.

 
 

Step 04

Click “New Site” then type in a name. There are settings on the right which include Username, Password and Host/Address, The Host/Address will always be ftp.prostream.co.uk and your username and password will be provided.

Now click on the "Transfer settings" tab, select "Active" in the "Transfer mode" section and click Connect.

 

Step05

Now you can log in to your FTP area by clicking on the site you just created and then the connect button on the bottom of that dialog

Once connected you see your upload area to the right, where you can drag your files onto to upload them. When a file is dragged onto there it will be put into an upload queue which you can see at the bottom
